A selection of animated short films by mostly young artists from the Arab region.
The program draws on the idea of Ezwa (عزوة) a form of communal support,
between family, friends, and the situations or places we find ourselves in.
It traces quiet gestures of closeness and the ways we remain with one another.
In the ways we remain, in different forms.

Der Filmclub Widerblick präsentiert: eine Auswahl animierter Kurzfilme von überwiegend jungen KünstlerInnen aus dem arabischen Raum.
Das Programm greift das Konzept von „Ezwa“ auf, einer Form der gegenseitigen Unterstützung zwischen Familie, Freunden und den Situationen und Orten, an denen wir uns befinden. Es spürt den stillen Gesten der Verbundenheit nach und den Wegen, wie wir füreinander da sein können.
