A discourse, weaving between Vladimir Mayakovsky's "That's what" [Pro Eto; 1923], Vita Sackville-West's "The Land" [1927], Hugh MacDiarmid's "A Drunk Man Looks At A Thistle" [1926], and Louis MacNeice's "Autumn Journal" [1938]. Aimed at listeners new to long poems, and poems in general, this podcast explores what it means to be internationalist in poetry, and comes up with some invigoratingly diverse responses. Produced October 2016 for Hamburg's FSK Radio, by Henry Holland, as part of a monthly poetry show broadcast in English and in German: "Die Lyrische Internationale".
