⁨⁨⁨⁨Alle 5 Jahre haben Menschen in Wien die Möglichkeit ihre politische Vertretung auf Bezirks- und Stadtebene zu wählen.

Na gut, bis auf das Drittel das nicht wählen darf.. und die EU Bürger*innen die nur auf Bezirksebene stimmberechtigt sind - aber abgesehen davon: hip-hip-hurrah für Demokratie und Mitbestimmung, oder?

Diesen Mittwoch diskutieren wir was am Konzept von Wahlen alles fishy ist und was das Ergebnis der aktuellen Wienwahl für unsere politische Praxis als Anarchist*innen in dieser Stadt bedeutet.

Politbeisl: the dilemma of voting

Every 5 years, people in Vienna have the opportunity to elect their political representatives at district and city level. Well, except for the third that can't vote… and the EU citizens who are only entitled to vote at district level - but apart from that: hip-hip-hooray for democracy and political participation, right?

This Wednesday we discuss everything that's fishy about the concept of elections and what the result of the current Vienna elections implies for our political practice as anarchists in this city.
